Is there any special relationship between the parameters of crystal oscillator? We often find that the higher the frequency of the crystal oscillator, the greater the frequency error. And the smaller the size of the chip crystal oscillator, its height will also be thicker! In addition, SMD crystal oscillators rarely achieve frequencies below 8MHz, excluding 8MHz. For example, the small frequency of 2520 chip crystal oscillator can reach 12Mhz, and the small frequency of 3225 chip crystal oscillator can support 8MHz, but only some manufacturers have mature technology.
1、 The chip crystal oscillator is always next to the IC. What's the role
The crystal oscillator and IC are generally connected through copper wiring. This wiring can be regarded as a section of wire or several sections of wire. The wire will generate current when cutting the magnetic force line. The longer the wire, the stronger the current. The connection between the crystal oscillator and the IC becomes a receiving antenna. The longer it is, the stronger the received signal will be and the stronger the electrical energy will be generated. Until the received electrical signal strength exceeds or approaches the signal strength generated by the crystal oscillator, the output of the amplification circuit in the IC will no longer be a square wave of fixed frequency, but a messy signal, which will cause the digital circuit to fail to work synchronously and make an error。
2、 The function of SMD crystal oscillator in circuit
The crystal oscillator generates mechanical vibration with fixed frequency through electrical excitation, and the vibration will generate current feedback to the circuit. After receiving the feedback, the circuit amplifies the signal, uses the amplified electrical signal to stimulate the mechanical vibration of the crystal oscillator again, and the crystal oscillator will feed back the current generated by vibration to the circuit, so on. When the excitation electric signal in the circuit is the same as the nominal frequency of the crystal oscillator, the circuit can output a sine wave with strong signal and stable frequency. The shaping circuit then converts the sine wave into a square wave and sends it to the digital circuit for its use.
3、 Can the chip crystal oscillator work alone?
It is conceivable that the answer is rejected. The output capacity of the crystal oscillator is limited. It only outputs electrical energy in milliwatts. In the IC (integrated circuit), the signal can be amplified hundreds or even thousands of times through the amplifier before it can be used normally. Therefore, it further shows that the normal operation of crystal oscillator is inseparable from IC.
4、 How wide is the application range of crystal oscillator
70% of electronic products will use our crystal oscillator. Now it is an era of Electronic Science and technology, so it can be imagined how widely the crystal oscillator is used. Should there be a concept? Specifically, no matter the electronic products around us, including mobile phones, keyboards, mice, stereos, computer hosts, computers, telephones, Bluetooth headsets, remote controls, intelligent air conditioners, intelligent bracelets, intelligent necklaces, intelligent underwear and other consumer products, we can't imagine, such as traffic lights, traffic lights and monitoring equipment, Power meters and other security equipment, medical equipment we can't touch, aerospace equipment and so on.
